computer processor

When should you upgrade your whole computer vs. just upgrading part of your computer? This is not a very easy question. You would think that as someone who sells computers, I would say you should always upgrade your computer. However, that would be dishonest of me.

In a previous post, I talked about a computer that had a very old graphics card. While this computer does not play games very well it does run Windows 10 without an issue. So should we upgrade it?

The rule of if it still does what you want … don’t upgrade

it does seem like the easy answer to upgrade your computer all the time if you have buckets of money. But if you are like the rest of everyone living in Lithgow, Katoomba, and the Blue Mountains you don’t. This is why we ask “Does it still do what you want it to do”

If the answer is yes on your 15-year-old Lenovo Laptop with only two gigs of RAM. The great .. don’t upgrade! This also assumes that you are not surfing the net or doing anything heavy.
