Bathurst Warhammer 40k
Bathurst Warhammer 40k

Rolling into Bathurst and curious about the factions of Warhammer 40k (aka Warhammer 40,000)—who’s who in the grimdark zoo? Here’s a quick tour to help you pick a side, paint a scheme, and get some dice rolling. We’ve got items in stock right now at our shop (85 Main Street, Lithgow), and we’re friendly with brand-new recruits and grizzled veterans alike.

Space Marines (Adeptus Astartes)
Iconic, tough, and flexible—Ultramarines, Blood Angels, Space Wolves and more. If you want heroic poster boys, these are it. Roboute Guilliman says your homework is edge highlights and tactical objectives.

Astra Militarum (Imperial Guard)
Humanity’s regular joes with tanks, artillery and grit. When in doubt: more bodies, more bayonets, more Baneblades.

Adeptus Mechanicus
Robo-monks with rad weaponry. Red robes, more cables than our computer shop, and prayers to the Omnissiah for better Wi-Fi (same).

Adepta Sororitas (Sisters of Battle)
Hymns, melta, and righteous fire. If you like power armour plus cathedral aesthetics, this is your jam.

Orks
Green, loud, hilarious. If you shout “DAKKA!” when you pull a trigger, you’re already halfway there. Painting tip: sponged metal + weathering = chef’s kiss.

Necrons
Ancient robo-pharaohs waking up cranky. Durable infantry, teleport tricks, and that lovely Tesseract glow.

T’au Empire
High-tech battlesuits and teamwork. If you prefer clean lines, railguns, and anime-adjacent mechs, welcome, Commander.

Tyranids
Bio-horror swarm. Endless claws and chitin; think “the buffet that eats you back.” Great fun for speed-painting and big monsters.

Chaos Space Marines
The edgy cousins—spikes, daemons, and bad decisions made ten millennia ago. Want skulls? They’ve got a subscription.

Craftworld Aeldari, Drukhari & Ynnari
Elegant space-elves (and their very naughty cousins). Fast, fragile, and surgical—rewarding for skilled hands.
