PArt Three of the hand painted Dragon Gaming computer

Painting takes a long time! When working on a computer case even longer! The reason for this is that I have to take many breaks to make sure that the paint has a chance to cure. Unlike a regular canvas painting, the computer case does not absorb any of the moisture in the paint. And yes I am going to spray a protective coat when I am done however during the painting process I need to take my time. This dragon gaming computer is surely a project that will use all my skills as an artist and a computer geek.

I have always enjoyed painting dragons. I am sure there are a few art shows where I was skipped over because my content was considered childish. But winning prizes and being in art shows is not what art is about. It is about the process and losing your troubles for a few hours.

dragon gaming computer organic Feel

One of the things I like about hand painting is that it has more of an organic feel. While I do love digital painting there is something about the real thing. It might be the micro differences in shades or maybe it’s the tiny mistake that every artist says to themselves “Nobody will ever notice”. I will always like real painting over digital.

The next step of the painting is getting out the airbrush and adding some layers of smoke! I have yet to add the lighting effects!

While I love to do cool things with lighting I do want to make sure that it does not take away from the overall design of the case. After all LEDS for the sake of LEDs is kind of lame.
