Grand openings in a small town hit different

You never quite know what you’re going to get on opening day in a country town—but crikey, did we have a ride.

Front of Lithgeek Customer gaming computers shop. on opening day. We now sell Warhammer prodicts.

Getting Warhammer ready for sale

Adding a new product line sounds simple until you’re knee-deep in boxes, contracts, and barcodes. Bringing Warhammer 40k (aka Warhammer 40,000) into the shop meant days of data entry—hundreds of kits, paints, and tools pushed through our POS so you can find what you need fast. Shelves? Easy. Finding the perfect spot for the Warhammer display without blocking the gaming tables we roll out on Thursday nights? That was the real tactical puzzle.

Warhammer products in stock! Lithgow , katoomba and bathurst

Thirty minutes after we opened, the store was quiet enough to hear a servo skull sneeze. We wondered if we’d mucked it up. Then the door chimed. Once. Twice. Then non-stop. By midday, it felt like a Hive City concourse—steady traffic, happy faces, and lots of hobby chat.

The best bit? Two customers who arrived separately bonded over their armies (Space Marines vs Orks—classic), then decided to continue their nerdery at the pub. That’s exactly why we’re doing this: to build a friendly, local geek community where new hobbyists and seasoned veterans can both feel at home. If you’re brand new, we’ve got time for you. If you’re experienced, we’ve got tables and opponents. And yes—we have items in stock (with the basics always on hand). If we don’t have a specific kit, we can order it direct from Games Workshop.

We’re also a computer shop—so while you check out Combat Patrol: Space Marines, Necron Warriors, or top up your Citadel Colour paints, you can ask us about gaming computers, upgrades, or even phone repairs. Hobby meets high-tech, right here.

Come say g’day at 85 Main Street, Lithgow. Whether you’re from Lithgow
