Need a hand with your Mac, PC, phone or tablet? Whether your emails won’t sync, your apps won’t update, or you just can’t figure out how to print that one important document — The Monkey Bar is your friendly, no-appointment-needed tech help desk, right here in the heart of Lithgow.

We’re located at 85 Main Street Lithgow, just a short walk from the train station, with street and rear parking available.


💡 What Is The Monkey Bar?

Think of it like a Genius Bar — but local, approachable, and staffed by people who speak your language (not tech-babble). We’re here to help with quick tech problems, questions, or lessons, and we only charge you for the time we actually spend helping.

No appointments needed… for now. (But don’t wait too long — once word gets out, we expect to get pretty busy.)


💵 Pricing – Only Pay for the Time You Use

We charge $80/hour, billed in 6-minute chunks — with a $10 minimum.

  • Need just 10 minutes of help logging into your email? That’s $13.33.
  • Need 24 minutes of troubleshooting? That’s $32.
  • Spend an hour learning how to use iCloud? That’s $80 — same as a private lesson, but more flexible.

Fair, transparent, and no surprise bills.

You don’t NEed an Appointment but it helps.

  • Troubleshooting weird error messages
  • Email not syncing or login issues
  • Software or app support (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, even Linux!)
  • Setting up or learning how to use devices
  • File management (“Where did my download go!?”)
  • Slow computer issues
  • iCloud, Apple ID or Google account help (as long as you bring the login info)
  • General tech support for confused humans — yes, even your mum

🚫 What We Don’t Do at The Monkey Bar

  • Physical Repairs (like cracked screens or broken hardware) – These need to be checked in
  • Printers – Sorry, not our circus, not our monkeys
  • Warranty repairs – We aren’t an official service centre
  • Remote or phone support – We’re in-store only so we can give proper attention to every customer
  • Home visits – No longer offered for non-business customers

🤔 What If You Can’t Fix It?

We’re really good at spotting when a problem needs more than a quick session. If that happens during a Monkey Bar visit, we’ll explain the next step and roll your session into the repair job — you won’t get double-billed.

We love working with seniors, beginners, and anyone who feels a bit lost in the digital world. If you or a loved one needs help learning the ropes, The Monkey Bar is a great place to start — and we also offer personal training sessions for more in-depth one-on-one lessons.

Right now? Nope!
Just walk in during our open hours and we’ll sort you out. First come, first served.

If things get busier (and they will), we may start taking bookings — so keep an eye on this page or our socials for updates.

Sure! You can call or email us to check if your issue is something we can handle or if you’re better off booking a full repair or training session. Just keep in mind we don’t offer tech support over the phone or via email — it’s way faster and easier to help when we can actually see your device.
