So Astro’s surgery went well. The doctor says that he will have five weeks of recovery. He is in a bit of pain but is already starting to walk.
We took him home during Thursday Night Warhammer and we tried to have him stay in his “Office” (The shop front window so he can watch people walk by. He seemed to be ok until the pain killers wore off. I have to say it was heart warming to have the entire group of Warhammer players offer to end their games so we could take Astro home! (they are a good group of people)
Cone of shame more of a speed bump vs a deterrent
So the whole cone thing … yeah that did not work. Turns out between him being half Dashound and very bendy he can fold in half and still get to his stitches. So we had to improvise. Pair of baby pants and an inflatable dog cone ….. work …. Nope! The problems of having a very smart puppy.
